It is very rare that we make a patu made of blue pearl kiriweti, so this Taonga is very special. The flecks of blue are just incredible. What is not to love about this beautiful Taonga. A marble base and engraving of up to three words can be added. The base purchase will be charged separately.

Mere or Patu were originally used by Māori in hand-to-hand combat. They were also utilized as an everyday tool for cutting and striking objects. These sacred ancent Māori Taonga symbols of mana (authority), status, cultural identity, and important relationships.
