Grey Mapere Patu with a handle wrapped with cord. Designed with a small hook on the tail end. This Patu is also slightly translucent when under light. There is not much more to say when a Patu like this speaks for itself but what an amazing peice of beautiful Maori art.

Mere or Patu were originally used by Māori in hand-to-hand combat. They were also utilized as a everyday tool for cutting and striking objects. These sacred ancent Māori Taonga symbols of mana (authority), status, cultural identity, and important relationships.
